Day - 1 : GUWAHATI LOCAL
Early in the morning visit the famous Maa Kamakhya Temple, situated in the Nilachal Hills, one of the shakti peeths of india. After that visit the Umananda Temple (world smallest river island). The temple is located on peacock island that lies on the mighty Brahmaputra river. Next we can visit Rope Way in Guwahati, which is india’s first River Rope Way spanning a distance of about 1.8 km long from bank of Guwahati city to north-Guwahati bank. In the evening we can take the experience of river Cruise Alfresco Grand, where you can enjoy the evening with music, dance, dinner on the river Brahmaputra. Overnight at Guwahati.
Day - 2 : GUWAHATI TO SHILLONG & SHILLONG LOCAL SIGHTSEEING
Next day early in the morning, move towards shillong making a journey of about 3hours and will visit very firstly the UMIUM LAKE at Barapani which is a popular destination for water sport and adventure facilities. After that move towards the shillong city for DON BOSCO MUSEUM which is famous to study the tribal culture and cultural history of Meghalaya and other states. Then move towars WARD’S LAKE located in the centre of the city. Next move towards the ST. CATHEDRAL CHURCH. The Cathedral Church is a prominent landmark of shillong with beautiful and charming architectural design in its hilltop location. Finally but not the least visit the famous POLICE BAZAR MARKET, a famous shopping haunt, which is on the priority list for Hotels, Shops and Food hubs. Overnight at Shillong.
Day - 3 : SHILLONG TO CHERRAPUNJEE AND SIGHTSEEING
Morning after Breakfast firstly we will move to Elephant Falls, a tourists’ paradise with three layers of the falls accessible to the layman from different vantage points. After that move towards Shillong Peak, which is the highest point of Shillong and offers panoramic views of the city, the waterfalls, the lush green surroundings. After that we can visit Garden of Caves, which is one of the place where one can get the experience a river, rich flora, caves and several waterfalls very up close which was one of the best ways to view them. Next we can experience the beauty of Wah Kaba Falls on the way to cherrapunjee. Next we will head towards Nohkalikai Falls, which is the tallest plunge waterfall in India. After that we can move to Eco Park which is mostly popular to view the origins of Seven Sister Falls and plains of Bangladesh across. After that we will move to the famous Seven Sister Falls also known as Nohsngithiang Falls, which is a seven segmented waterfall located one kilometre south of Mausmai Village in East Khasi Hills district. Day - 4 : CHERRAPUNJEE, MAWPHLANG SACRED FOREST, LAITLUM
MORNING AFTER Breakfast, Firstly we will move towards any of the two caves, Mausmai Cave or Arwah Cave which of both the caves are beautiful with a narrow, rugged limestone cave with a dimly-lit access point, low overhangs and often uneven footing. After that we can also visit Dainthlen, a very beautiful spot featuring a large waterfall in a serene landscape. After that move towards Mawphlang Sacred Forest, which contains preserved scenes of nature. On arriving in Mawphlang, we can see one of the reserved Sacred Forests of the area which are under protection by religious sanctions. Next we will head for LAITLUM GRAND CANYON and feel the breathtaking view. It is located about 25kms from shillong literally translates to the ‘End of the Hills’. A very peaceful place to visit where the place is covered full of fog. After that move back to shillong and Stay the night at shillong.
Day - 5 : SHILLONG TO DAWKI/MAWLYNNONG
Morning after breakfast, head for MAWLYNNONG VILLAGE, located in the East khasi hills of Meghalaya, has won the acclaim of being the cleanest village in Asia in 2003. The village also offers a sight of natural balancing root bridge. After that we can move towards INDO-BANGLADESH BORDER and travel to DAWKI in the East Jaintia hills. On arrival is the UMNGOT RIVER where the water is crystal clear and is said to be the one of the clearest river in India. After that back to shillong and Overnight at Shillong.
Day - 6 : SHILLONG TO KAZIRANGA, MAHA MRITYUNJAY TEMPLE
In the morning after breakfast, head for KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK making a journey of about 6 hours, the land of one horned rhinos. Before reaching kaziranga, visit the MAHA MRITYUNJAY TEMPLE situated in Nagaon, the world’s largest SHIVLINGA with a height of 126-feet. After that check in to hotel in kaziranga. By the evening visit the KAZIRANGA NATIONAL ORCHID and near by markets to explore traditional things of Assam. Overnight at Kaziranga (Kohra Range)
Day - 7 : KAZIRANGA SAFARI, BACK TO GUWAHATI
Early in the morning, Go for Elephant Safari/Jeep Safari as per choice to explore the natural beauty and wildlife habitat of Kaziranga including one horned rhinos, Deers, Wild Elephants, Tigers etc. After that return back to Guwahati and YOUR JOURNEY ENDS IN A HAPPY NOTE.
